EMBODYING SPIRITUALITY... -

EMBODYING SPIRITUALITY...

Rabbi Heyn has many years of experience in providing spiritual care and coaching to people of all religious backgrounds and orientations.  His service as a pastoral care professional ranges from making visits to homes, hospitals, and other facilities to scheduling appointments in his office.  He is able to assist people dealing with a wide variety of health, social, emotional and spiritual issues, most often during times of crisis.

While bringing Jewish wisdom to his encounters, Rabbi Heyn respects the dignity and beliefs of each individual, in many case facilitating improved understanding and communication between clients and their families or respective faith communities.

Individuals: Bar/Bat Mitzvah and conversion preparation, pastoral care visits, spiritual direction

Jewish & Interfaith Couples: wedding and commitment ceremonies

Families: brises & babynamings, bar/bat miztvah ceremonies, funerals & memorial services

Congregations: concerts, programs, Divrei Torah, weekend programs, and retreats

...all with an Integral Approach

"Integral means comprehensive, holistic, inclusive, nonmarginalizing, embracing..."

An integral approach attempts to include as many perspectives, styles, or methodologies as possible within a coherent view of a given topic.  For example, it can 'integrate' insights from science, religion and philosophy, demonstrating how each perspective contributes toward a more comprehensive, coherent worldview.  In this way, an integral approach draws together a number of separate paradigms into an interrelated network of approaches that are mutually enriching.

THE MEANING BEHIND MAMASH -

THE MEANING BEHIND MAMASH

There is no expression in English that encompasses the meaning of the Hebrew word 'MAMASH.'  Instead of a word, the only equivalent in the English language is an exclamation mark (!)

For example, if you see a sunset in all of its amazing beauty, you might say, "That's beautiful!"  Notice the exclamation mark?  That's where the word 'MAMASH' goes.

The same can be said about Rabbi Heyn's band.  MAMASH is a loosely-knit network of musicians engaged in developing an integral approach to life, music, and spirituality.
